Age Slower.
Live Better.

Aging is a biological process — and it's not inevitable at the rate most people experience it. The research is clear: NAD+ depletion, hormone decline, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction are the primary drivers of how fast you age. We address all four with physician-directed protocols designed for people who want to feel as good at 55 as they did at 35.

The Signs You're Aging Too Fast

Many of the symptoms we attribute to "normal aging" are actually signs of specific, addressable biological deficiencies. The difference between biological age and chronological age is real — and it's measurable.

Progressive energy declineEnergy levels that have been trending downward for years — not from a single event, but as an ongoing trajectory that feels like gradual dimming.
🏃
Slower recoveryExercise, illness, and stress all take longer to bounce back from than they did a decade ago. Resilience — physical and mental — is measurably reduced.
💪
Sarcopenia (muscle loss)Progressive loss of muscle mass despite regular exercise — driven by declining testosterone, growth factors, and mitochondrial function. This is the defining physical marker of accelerated aging.
🧠
Cognitive slowingProcessing speed, working memory, and mental sharpness all decline with NAD+ depletion. Many people in their 40s describe this as "not thinking as fast" — which is exactly what it is.
Skin aging & dullnessCollagen production declines, oxidative stress accumulates, and antioxidant defenses weaken — producing the visible hallmarks of aging skin. IV glutathione and vitamin C directly support skin health and radiance.
😴
Sleep quality declineSleep architecture changes with age — REM sleep becomes shorter, sleep becomes lighter, and recovery quality drops. Hormone optimization and NAD+ protocols measurably improve sleep quality in many patients.
😔
Mood & motivation changesDeclining testosterone and NAD+ both affect dopamine and serotonin systems. Low mood, reduced drive, and flattened emotional range are common — and addressable — features of hormonal aging.
🔥
Increased inflammationChronic low-grade inflammation — "inflammaging" — accumulates with age and drives accelerated cellular deterioration. IV antioxidant protocols help neutralize this ongoing inflammatory burden.

What's Actually Driving Your Aging

Aging isn't one thing — it's the convergence of several specific biological processes. Targeting these directly is the foundation of evidence-based longevity medicine.

01
NAD+ Decline
NAD+ is arguably the most important molecule in longevity science. It fuels mitochondrial energy production, activates sirtuins (the longevity-regulating enzymes), enables DNA repair, and controls cellular stress responses. NAD+ levels fall 50% by age 40 and continue declining linearly through later decades. This depletion is now understood to be a primary driver of age-related cellular dysfunction — not just a correlation. IV NAD+ is the most effective way to rapidly raise systemic NAD+ levels.
02
Hormonal Decline
Testosterone, DHEA, growth hormone, and IGF-1 all decline with age — and all play critical roles in muscle maintenance, bone density, energy metabolism, cognitive function, and mood regulation. In men, testosterone declines ~1% annually after age 30. Physician-directed TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) restores hormonal levels to an optimal physiological range — not a supraphysiological one — producing improvements across energy, body composition, cognition, and longevity markers.
03
Oxidative Stress Accumulation
Every cell in your body produces free radicals as a byproduct of energy metabolism. Your antioxidant systems — led by glutathione — normally neutralize them. With age, this balance shifts: free radical production stays high while glutathione levels fall. The resulting oxidative stress damages mitochondria, accelerates cellular senescence, and drives inflammation. IV glutathione and high-dose vitamin C provide the most rapid restoration of antioxidant capacity available.
04
Mitochondrial Dysfunction
Mitochondria are your cellular power plants — and they degrade with age through a combination of NAD+ depletion, oxidative damage, and reduced mitophagy (cellular self-cleaning). Mitochondrial dysfunction is now recognized as a central mechanism of aging by longevity researchers, not just a downstream consequence. Restoring NAD+ directly supports mitochondrial biogenesis — the process of generating new, healthy mitochondria that produce energy efficiently.
05
Micronutrient Depletion
The aging process itself increases micronutrient requirements — B vitamins for DNA methylation and repair, magnesium for hundreds of enzymatic processes, vitamin C for collagen synthesis and immune function. Dietary intake rarely keeps pace. IV delivery bypasses age-related decreases in gut absorption, ensuring that the nutrients your cells need for repair and maintenance are actually getting there.
06
Chronic Inflammation ("Inflammaging")
Low-grade, chronic inflammation — called "inflammaging" in the longevity literature — accumulates with age and drives accelerated biological aging in every organ system. It is implicated in cardiovascular disease, neurodegeneration, metabolic dysfunction, and cancer. Reducing inflammatory burden through antioxidant IV protocols, hormone optimization, and metabolic health improvements is a core component of functional longevity medicine.

Longevity Medicine Is No Longer Fringe

Ten years ago, "anti-aging medicine" was synonymous with unproven claims. Today, the longevity space is one of the most heavily funded areas in biomedical research, with billions invested in understanding and reversing the specific molecular mechanisms of aging.

The evidence base for NAD+ therapy is particularly compelling. Sirtuins — the enzymes that regulate DNA repair, cellular stress response, and gene expression — require NAD+ to function. Activating sirtuins through NAD+ replenishment is one of the few interventions that has consistently extended lifespan in animal models. Human clinical trials are ongoing and results to date are promising.

For testosterone, the evidence is extensive. Decades of research confirm that optimizing testosterone in men with clinically low levels improves muscle mass, bone density, energy, cognitive function, mood, and cardiovascular markers. Physician-directed TRT, appropriately dosed and monitored, is not a performance enhancement — it is physiological restoration.

At Viva, longevity medicine means something specific: physician-supervised protocols, evidence-based treatments, and honest conversations about what we know and don't know. Dr. Cordova brings his background in critical care medicine and biomedical engineering to designing protocols that are rigorous, not trendy.

"Longevity medicine is finally catching up to what the biochemistry has been telling us for years — that NAD+ depletion, hormonal decline, and oxidative stress are the core drivers of how fast we age, and that all three are addressable with the right interventions. I founded Viva because people in their 40s and 50s shouldn't have to accept feeling like they're in their 60s."

Longevity & Anti-Aging FAQ

The science is compelling but still evolving. NAD+ decline is clearly documented as a driver of cellular aging in animal models, and the biochemical mechanisms are well understood. Human clinical trials are ongoing and results to date are promising. What's established: NAD+ IV therapy safely raises systemic NAD+ levels, patients consistently report improvements in energy, cognition, and recovery, and the safety profile is excellent. We don't make claims beyond what the evidence supports, but the evidence for addressing cellular NAD+ depletion is substantial.
For longevity protocols, we typically recommend starting with an initial series of 3–6 infusions over 2–4 weeks to meaningfully raise baseline levels, followed by monthly or quarterly maintenance infusions. Some patients do a monthly 500mg session. The right protocol depends on your response to initial treatment, budget, and specific goals. Our team designs this based on your individual response.
Individual treatments — NAD+ sessions, Myers Cocktail, glutathione — target specific mechanisms and can be started immediately with no labs required. The Optimization program is a comprehensive physician-directed protocol that starts with full bloodwork (hormones, thyroid, vitamins, inflammatory markers, metabolic panel), physician interpretation, and a personalized protocol designed around your specific biology. It's the difference between targeted supplementation and a genuine biometric-driven longevity program.
This is a nuanced question. Standard lab "normal" ranges are extremely wide and don't reflect optimal physiological function. Many men with "low normal" testosterone — technically in range but at the bottom of it — experience significant symptoms and benefit substantially from optimization. Dr. Cordova takes a symptom-informed approach: bloodwork informs the conversation, but how you actually feel matters just as much. We don't prescribe to men who don't need it, but we also don't dismiss symptomatic men because their number falls within a wide reference range.
The timeline varies by treatment. Energy and cognitive improvements from NAD+ are often felt during or after the first session. Skin-related improvements from glutathione and high-dose vitamin C take several weeks of consistent treatment to become visible. Hormonal optimization (TRT) produces measurable physical and cognitive changes over 4–12 weeks. Longevity medicine is both acute (feel better today) and cumulative (slow aging over time) — and the cumulative effects are the ones that matter most.
